ReadySetNext, an initiative from the Greater Houston Partnership, needed a launch video that could introduce its pilot program and encourage employers, investors, workforce leaders, community partners, and facilitators to get involved.

The challenge was simplifying a complex workforce development story. ReadySetNext addresses several interconnected issues—from employers struggling to find skilled local talent to students and job seekers navigating disconnected career, education, and training resources. The video needed to capture those pain points without turning the introduction into a three-minute explainer.

Control Shift Video helped develop the script direction and creative concepts, with the GHP team completing the final script. We then combined existing Greater Houston Partnership footage, stock video, and custom motion graphics to create a fast-moving overview of the challenge, the opportunity, and ReadySetNext's vision for connecting Houstonians with career pathways and employers with the workforce they need.

The result is a high-level workforce development video designed to build awareness, generate interest, and give stakeholders a clear reason to learn more and get involved.
